Barco TruePix stands for high-quality LED visualization in professional environments. For control rooms and command centers, however, LED is never only a question of visual impact. What is decisive is viewing distance, pixel pitch, brightness, heat, maintenance, redundancy and operability in 24/7 operation.

LED is strong when it is planned correctly
An LED video wall can deliver seamless images, high presence and flexible formats. At the same time it hardly forgives poor planning. A wrong pixel pitch, excessive brightness, difficult service access or an unsuitable viewing distance quickly turn a premium solution into an expensive nuisance.
TruePix compared to LCD and rear-projection
TruePix can be particularly strong where large seamless surfaces, high image quality and representative visualization are required. LCD systems such as Barco UniSee, on the other hand, can be more economical for certain budgets, room sizes and service requirements. Existing rear-projection systems can be modernized in individual cases. The right solution comes from the project, not from a trend.

In LED projects, controlrooms GmbH does not only check module size and resolution. We consider room layout, lines of sight, operator distance, brightness, control, signal paths, KVM, maintenance, power supply and later expandability. Only then does an LED solution emerge that convinces in operation.
Planning determines image quality
With LED walls, resolution is often discussed first. In practice, viewing distance, pixel pitch, brightness, contrast, heat generation, power supply and service access are at least as important. An LED wall can be technically high-quality and still look restless or oversized in the wrong room.
For control rooms there is an additional aspect: content is rarely cinema imagery. It is about maps, process images, cameras, alarms, tables, SCADA views and situational information. This content must stay legible for hours. Overly aggressive brightness or a wrong pixel pitch strains operators unnecessarily.

Barco TruePix is strong when it is planned together with signal management, KVM, CMS or Barco CTRL, operating logic and a service concept. An LED surface without a suitable source and operating structure is just an expensive wall. In the control room it must be part of the system.

A TruePix wall must stay stable in everyday use. This includes calibration, clean brightness settings, a spare-parts strategy, defined service processes and technical documentation that is still understandable years later. In control rooms, the initial installation is only the beginning, not the end of the project.
