About controlrooms GmbH
controlrooms GmbH was founded in Pottenbrunn, Austria, in September 2011. Its two founders bring more than 25 years of experience in building and supporting control rooms and video walls. Clients include public security centres, race tracks, power plants, energy providers and companies in traffic management and telecommunications.
We deliver LCD video walls, rear-projection systems, ergonomic operator desks, sound-absorbing panels, control room chairs and OLED lighting, and we plan air conditioning, lighting, floors, walls and ceilings. On request we act as general contractor for the entire control room.
We advise from the first concept, develop the solution with you and stay available after commissioning. Most clients hand us the long-term support of their systems, which extends service life and keeps maintenance predictable.

Erich Strasser
Erich Strasser is CEO of controlrooms GmbH and has worked in the control room industry for more than 25 years, as CTO and as project manager, on projects in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, India, Korea, Turkey, China, England, France, Russia and Greece. He has led global sales since taking over as CEO in 2019.
Among the most demanding projects are the Race Control and Media Centre installations for Formula 1. His team equipped the circuits in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Korea, India, Moscow, Istanbul and Spielberg with a complete concept covering rear projection, software, screen controllers and furniture.
He values it when someone sets a goal and follows it through. That makes it straightforward for him to understand what a client wants, visualise it and build it. Many clients have become close friends, and the work with Markus Miksch and our suppliers rests on mutual respect.
Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. (FH) Markus Miksch
Markus Miksch has been managing partner since the company was founded. Born in St. Pölten in 1985, he completed the HTL diploma in industrial engineering at HTBLuVA St. Pölten and studied industrial engineering at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. He then spent several years as a project manager, working internationally on tunnel equipment and control room technology.
At controlrooms he is responsible for project management, corporate planning, marketing and sales.
